Daycare & Stay Care
What is Muttropolis?
Muttropolis is a premium dog daycare experience designed around safe play, enrichment, calm rest, and careful dog matching.
Our goal is to create a structured, balanced environment where dogs can enjoy their day while owners have peace of mind.
What is the difference between Daycare and Stay Care?
Daycare is for dogs who enjoy play, social time, enrichment, and a more active daycare experience.
Stay Care is a calmer option for older dogs, quieter dogs, or dogs who prefer company and comfort without the full-on play environment.
Will dogs be grouped together?
Yes. Dogs will be carefully matched by size, temperament, confidence, and energy level.
We do not believe in simply putting every dog together and hoping for the best. Structure and compatibility are a big part of the Muttropolis approach.
Will dogs get rest breaks?
Yes. Rest is an important part of healthy daycare.
Dogs need time to settle, recharge, and avoid becoming overstimulated. Muttropolis is designed around balance, not chaos.
Suitability & Assessments
Does my dog need an assessment?
Yes. Before joining regular daycare, dogs will need a suitability check or trial process.
This helps us understand your dog’s personality, confidence, energy level, social skills, and comfort around other dogs.
Is every dog suitable for daycare?
No, and that’s okay.
Some dogs love group daycare. Others may find it stressful or overwhelming. If group daycare is not the right fit, it does not mean your dog has done anything wrong. It simply means they may need a different kind of environment.
What if my dog is nervous or reactive?
Nervous or reactive dogs may not be suitable for group daycare, but they may benefit from private play area hire.
This gives owners access to a secure space where their dog can play, sniff, train, relax, and build confidence without the pressure of being around a group.
Do you accept older dogs?
Yes, depending on the dog.
Older dogs may be better suited to Stay Care, where the pace is calmer and the focus is on comfort, gentle company, rest, and supervision.
Health & Safety
What vaccinations will my dog need?
Dogs will need to be up to date with required vaccinations before attending Muttropolis.
Final vaccination requirements will be confirmed before opening, but owners should expect to provide proof of vaccination before assessments or daycare visits.
Does my dog need to be neutered?
This may depend on age, behaviour, temperament, and suitability.
We’ll confirm our final policy before opening, but every dog will be considered with safety, group balance, and welfare in mind.
What happens if my dog becomes unwell?
If a dog appears unwell while in our care, we will contact the owner. If urgent care is needed, we may contact a vet in line with our emergency procedures and the information provided by the owner.
Full health and emergency policies will be available before bookings open.
What happens if my dog does not settle?
If a dog does not settle, we will always put the dog’s welfare first.
Some dogs may need a slower introduction, a shorter visit, Stay Care, private hire, or another approach. In some cases, group daycare may not be suitable.
